Rickie Warren, age 54, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Warren of Athens; a sister, Melisa D. (husband Doug) Kissick of Sherman; a brother, Terry (wife Edna) Vaughn of Curran; special friend, Lawrence York of Athens; two aunts, Ada Bisby of Athens, Marie Chapman of Stony Point, NC, and Joanne Warren of North Carolina; a uncle, Clyde Warren of Valdese, NC; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was born August 11, 1959 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Robert and Lula Belle Ferguson Warren, both of Athens.
Rickie married Linda Reid on October 14, 2006.
He enjoyed old automobiles and old tractors, especially the 1950’s and 60’s cars. Rickie loved watching racecars and NASCAR. He enjoyed following today’s politics by watching the news. Rickie loved his dog “Rambo” and his three cats.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 10:00 until time of funeral service 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Memorial Home Services Hospice.
Family is being served by Mott & Henning Funeral Home, in Athens, IL.
