Vera J. Peet

Vera Jean Peet, age 80, of Greenview, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. 

Vera was born on December 25, 1944 in Oakford, IL the daughter of Tade and Vera Adeline Knoles Todd. 

Vera is survived by her husband Terry Peet. They spent 32 wonderful years together.

Mourning her passing are husband, Terry; children, Brian Neavill, Kim Roach (Joe); step-daughter, Hillary (husband Bill) Majewski; grandchildren, Joe Roach (Nicole), Megan (husband Jordan) Powell, Derek (wife Jordan) Neavill, Corina (husband Alan) White, and Stephanie Imbody; brothers, James (wife Janet) Todd and Don (wife Donna) Todd; sister-in-law, Maye Todd; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Larry Todd, Dwight Todd and Kenny Todd; one sister, Wanda Todd, and one daughter, Kathy Geist. 

Vera graduated from Athens High School in 1962. 

Vera was a stay-at-home mother for several years. Also, she worked at several locations selling furniture. 

Vera loved collecting antiques, traveling, and most of all spending time with her friends and family. 

Cremation rites will be accorded. 

Visitation for Vera will be on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at Mott & Henning Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM (noon). Memorial services will be immediately following at 12:00 PM also at Mott & Henning Funeral Home.

Pastor Ken Gennicks will be officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America.
