Marcella was a loving wife and homemaker.  She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, generous and fun loving woman who enjoyed life.  She like to travel, bowl and golf, but her favorite hobby was shopping.  Marcella was an attractive woman, with beautiful blue eyes.  She was meticulous in her appearance with her gorgeous hair and stylish clothes.  She would match from head to toe with her jewelry, purses and shoes.  Marcella was in many style shows throughout her life.  She was a model for Bressmer’s Department Store in the 1970’s with her advertising photos being published in the State Journal Register.

After the passing of her beloved husband, Don, Marcella was blessed to have many people to take care of her during her struggle with dementia.  Thank you to her special angels here on earth; Roger, Nancy, Pam and Josie.  You were there when she needed you most, may God bless you.  Also thank you to the staff at Montvale Estates, Visiting Angels, her medical providers and staff at SIU and Memorial Medical Center and during her  final year; the staff at Country Lane Memory Care.  Her family is forever grateful for your kindness.

Condolences

  1. My Deepest Condolences to Marci’s Family. It was a Pleasure to be in Her Presence over the years. Although I’m at Peace knowing She’s with God and Her Loved ones, She’ll definitely be missed. Loved Her So Much. Rest Well In Heaven With Jesus Sweetie. Loving You Always💖

  2. I am so sorry that sweet Marcella is gone. I will remember her wit, spunk, and piercing blue eyes. My deepest condolences to her family. I want to extend a special thanks to Connie for allowing me to see some pictures of Marcella during her prime. She will be fondly remembered in my heart.

  3. Marcella was my mom’s cousin and one of her best friends growing up. I remember as a teenager always thinking how beautiful she was and admired her style. Her smile could light up a room. Whenever my mom and dad, Marcella and Don, her brothers and their wives and my mom’s brothers and their wives were together it was always quite the party. She was very lucky to have such a loving niece – Connie to help her through life after she lost her beloved Don. Prayers Connie.

  4. I was sorry to learn of Marcella’s passing. My Mom and Dad, Phil and Jenine Ridge were friends of her and Don. Deepest sympathy to all of her family.
