Janie Todd, age 75, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (husband Ed) Jankauski of Athens; two sons, Michael (wife Peggy) Todd of Springfield and Brian (wife Debbie) Todd of Athens; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Frohn, Emily and Abigayle, and Jacob Jankauski; Emma Todd; Rachel and Nate Todd; two great-grandchildren, Elliana and Josiah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John.
Janie was born June 21, 1937 in Newbern, Tennessee, the daughter of John and Birdie Clanton.
She worked for several Springfield area businesses, which includes Myers Brothers, Pillsbury, Barker-Lubin, JC Penney, and retired from Bunn-O-Matic.
Janie loved gardening, traveling, and especially being with her family.
She was a member of the Athens Christian Church.
Visitation will be held at the Athens Christian Church on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 10:00 until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM.
Rev. Ken Gennicks officiating.
Burial will be held at Fancy Creek Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Fancy Creek Cemetery Association or to the Menard County Senior Services.

So sorry for your loss – Janie was a hard worker and a very nice lady. I worked with her at Bunn and she always had a smile for everyone and you could hear her coming by her humming a favorite song or just a little ditty. I know she will be missed.
