Timothy Carter, age 65, of Greenview, passed away on April 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 22, 1958 in Springfield, Illinois, to Stanley and Betty (Boston) Carter.
He married Ronda Sanert on May 27, 1978 in Petersburg, Illinois.
Mourning his passing are his wife, Ronda; daughter, Jessica Carter-Atkinson; grandson, Dillon Atkinson; brothers, Tony (Annabelle Wood) Carter and Dale Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Traci Carter; and his grandparents, Ralph and Myrtle Carter and Edward and Dorothy Boston.
Tim graduated from Greenview High School in 1976. He recently retired on March 3, 2023 from USF Holland Inc.
Tim was also Past Master of Greenview Masonic Lodge #653 A.F. & A.M.
His main priority in his life was his family, especially spending time with his beloved grandson Dillon. He was an avid sports fanatic, mainly a Chicago Cubs, Illini, and Chicago Bears fan.
Since we all know Tim’s love of sports, the family requests casual attire, especially sports attire when attending the graveside services.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Graveside services for Tim will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview, Illinois on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers and plants, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Tim to the Greenview AMVET Post #179 or to the Greenview Civic Improvement Association.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is assisting the family. On-line condolences can be shared at www.mottandhenning.com.

Ronda & Family,
I am truly sorry for the loss of Tim. He was always fun to be around when we had Christmas Eve’s at Ronnie & Diane’s house. I wish I knew quicker about his passing and could have been there for you all in person. Heaven got an angel and he will be missed by all that knew him. Sending you much love from the Arnold family in Mason City.
