Susan Louise Williams

Susan Louise Williams, age 67, of Athens, IL passed away on September 6^th at her home.

She was born on January 24, 1954 in Springfield, Illinois and was the daughter of Kenneth and Marian Richards.

Susan is survived by sons, Jason (Katie), Brandon (Jessica), and Andrew (Reeza) Williams; three grandsons; four granddaughters; siblings, Ernest Williams Richards, Janet Chris Kean, Gregory Shane Richards, Michael Shannon Richards, Kathleen Lynn Wright, Jacqueline Marie Hines; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Deborah Richards, and brother-in-law John Wright, Jr.

Susan attended Sacred Heart Grade School and later graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1972.

She worked at Ponderosa as a waitress and later became a stay-at-home mom to her sons.

Susan was a sales rep for Avon for several years.  She loved flowers, gardening, and horticulture.  She was also very active in genealogy, but her greatest joy was oil painting.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Visitation for Susan will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00 until time of memorial services at 11:00 AM at the Athens Christian Church with Rev. Ken Gennicks officiating.
