Steven L. Clemens, age 70, of Greenview, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born July 6, 1952 in Sweetwater, Illinois the son of Loren and Barbara (Bell) Clemens.
Steven married Cathy Hoerbert on July 27, 1979 in Greenview.
Mourning his passing are wife, Cathy; his children, Helen (husband Sean) Ward of Peoria, Toby (Jill) Clemens of Springfield, Tyler (Vickie) Clemens of Greenview, and Bonnie (husband Spencer) Davis of Greenview; grandchildren, Bril, Mason, Landon, Carson, Casey, and Justin; brother, Jim Clemens of Pleasant Plains; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Lynn; sister, Jackie Stone; and brother, Dale Clemens.
Steven was a graduate of Chatham High School.
He was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of ABATE. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and working on things. One of his favorite things to do was riding four wheelers and sharing that with his grandkids.
Steven was a mechanic for most of his life and later retired from Walmart after 15 years of work.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Visitation for Steven will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Greenview United Church. Private graveside services will be held at the cemetery.

Many years of memories with a Steve living at grandpas old house, we always had a good laugh. May all your good memories bring you some peace during this difficult unexpected time. Ours thoughts and prayers to you all.
