Sherri Ann Jefferies, age 69, of Springfield, formerly of Taylorville, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield with her family by her side.
Sherri was born on June 6, 1949 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Ralph and Ida Jane (Janie) Cummings Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, Vance; son, Jeff (April) Jefferies; daughter, Andrea (David) Stockon; a sister Diana Woods (companion Bryan Singley) of Bloomington, three grandchildren, Steven and Kristen Jefferies and Zach Stockon; one great granddaughter, Zooey Jefferies; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Sherri is preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Athens High School in 1967.
Sherri retired from Advanced Eyecare in Taylorville after 30 years as an officer manager bookkeeper.
Graveside services for Sherri will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Farmers Point near Petersburg.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to “American Liver Foundation” or “Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.”

So sorry to hear of your wife and mothers passing. She was a beautiful women who loved all of you so much. I was so proud to have been a member with her in the Taylorville Service Members Group. She showed true patriotism and love for all. God bless each of you. May he comfort and hold you In his arms during this time. Praying for you.

I’m sorry to hear of Sherri’s passing. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor. She had a fabulous sense of humor and would go the extra mile for those she loved. She was bright and sunny person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to Vance, their children, and families.

Vance and family were sorry for your loss. I remember looking back in the past Sherri was a fine lady,when I use to see her at eye doctors she always talked about you and how you were doing. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Our sympathy to Vance and family in your loss. Maurice thought so much of you and your family during the farm supply years and later seeing you at the orchard after retirement. I am sure Sherri touched many lives and will be remembered with love. May your golden memories bring you comfort.

Vance and family, I’m so sorry for your loss.Hearing of her passing just broke my heart! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I loved her so much. She was a Beautiful and amazing women. I always enjoyed our visit together, I’ll never forget the last visit we had and the three of us done some Snapchat pics, we laughed so much. I will miss her!!
