Robert “Bobby” Underwood

Robert “Bobby” Underwood, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his residence.

He was born February 21, 1957 in Dallas County, Texas the son of Donald and Bettye (Sealy) Underwood.

Mourning his passing are his “adopted” family, which includes Kyle Juhl, Andrea Gladden and her children, Izabella and Oscar; and other friends in the community.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

Bobby worked most of his life for Bekins Moving and Storage as a laborer and driver.

He loved to fish and being outdoors.  Bobby also enjoyed animals and walking his dog.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  Burial of his cremains will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Protective League or to Mott & Henning Funeral Home to assist in funeral costs.
