  2. Marla,

I really enjoyed working with JR in the old “Northeast Marketing Division”. I wanted to look JR up on 1/31 while at BCU but ran out of time. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  3. I have known and worked with JR for many years. He was always a patient and understanding man, yet very good at what he did. We will miss JR’s laughter and kind emails.

  4. I have known J.R. since the early 1990s and always enjoyed talking, laughing and working with him. Without fail, we always had a good laugh about something everytime we talked, regardless of the state of our current business discussions. I am saddened for J.R.’s family as well as his work family as he left us way to soon. He will be missed.

  5. It saddens me greatly to hear of the death of JR. He was a great inspiration to many of us in the credit union movement. I knew JR from his association as a Regional Vice President in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area. He was a dedicated employee who always had a warm handshake and a smile for everyone.

He will be missed! May he rest in peace.

  6. My heartfelt condolences to the Ridge family. My prayers are with you.

  7. Dear Marla, Jenine, Sharon, Shelley, Lesley and Family,

I have wonderful memories of John—and of you all—during our high school days. I cannot be with you at this time but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

    With love, Craig Davis

  8. Marla and family –

I am saddened to hear of your loss. J.R. has left us with many wonderful memories. He always carried a wonderful smile and wonderful wisdom that he loved sharing with others. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time.

God bless, Sara Scobee CUNA Mutual Waverly, IA

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I have had the opportunity to work with JR during my 11 years at CUNA. He was always pleasant to speak to and work with. He will be missed.

  10. I was very saddened to hear the news about JR. He was a special person who always could make me laugh. Whether it was talking about high school basketball, the Illini recruits, or if this was going to be THE YEAR for the Cubs, JR was a pleasure to be around— and he always told me he was known throughout the state as “Mr. Music”!!. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to Marla, Jenine, and the entire family. May you find comfort and peace. —Barry & Jody Bauer and family.

  11. Happy Birthday – J.R. Miss you.
