Robert Harold Poe, age 74, of Sherman, passed away on June 29, 2011 at his residence in Sherman.

2 Great-grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews
Robert was born on July 10, 1936 in Williamsville the son of Kenneth Harold and Edith Lucille Powell Poe.
He married Helen Elizabeth Perugini on December 27, 1958 in Springfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Richard Poe in 2000.
Robert served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960 in Germany.
He started painting with his father at the age of 14 then working as a carpenter for Bennie-Chastain. He retired from IDOT and the State of Illinois after 18 years. He also worked part time as a truck driver with Freightliner.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday July 1, 2011 at the Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens. Funeral Services will be at the St. John Vianney Church in Sherman on Saturday at 10:30 AM.

Dear Helen,
I offer my sincere sympathy during this difficult time. Mom and Dad always spoke so highly of you, that I offer this in their names as well. Ellis (Smitty) and Harriett would want that. May you feel God’s comfort as you walk hand-in-hand with Him on this path.
