Phil Clemens

Phil Clemens, age 75, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on September 11, 1942, the son of Merle and Ellen Pierceall-Clemens.
Phil married Kathy Blakley on February 8, 1975.
Phil is survived by his wife Kathy; two children, daughter, Mary Ellen (Nicholas) Ramey and one son, Alex Clemens; two grandsons, Samuel and Henry Ramey; one sister, Kay Clemens, two brothers; Kerry (Sharon) Clemens, Edward (Sandy) Clemens; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Phil so loved his children, grandchildren and his wife, Blake. He was also an avid Cardinal fan and loved college basketball and corvettes.
Visitation for Phil will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Holy Family Church in Athens, IL.
Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery.
Msgr. Thomas Holinga will be officiating.
Memorials can be given to Athens Food Bank and Athens Municipal Library.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. Phil was a great neighbor and all around good guy. He will be missed by many. Always remember him having the Cardinal game on the radio during the summer.

Kathy and family and to phils family…I have been friends with all of you my entire life..I’m so sorry for all of you..phil was a great man and my friend…you all have my sympathy
