  2. Dear Sakalis and Dirks Families,
Although I haven’t seen Paula in many years, the smile and twinkle in her eyes in this photo are still very familiar. In addition to growing up in the same church and all of the fun family night gatherings we had then, my best memories are of Paula in Macomb. I was a teenager when she first opened her shop. Several times a year (for what seemed like many years), Lena Mae Holt would take Melanie and I up to see Paula and all three of us would get our hair cut. Somehow Paula figured out what to do with my wild naturally curly hair to make it look stylish. We all had such a good time on those days.

I am so very sorry for your loss. She’s much too young to leave your company.
    Margaret

  3. Dale & Karla,

Johnny & I are so sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. We always enjoyed her at your parties. May, she rest in peace with our savior.

Hoping, soon your tears will be replaced by smiles of happy memories of her and your time together.

    Johnny & Sandy Estill

  4. Sincere condolences. We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

  5. I was saddened to hear of Paula’s passing. She certainly was a special lady and I remember well her helping alter my wedding dress many years ago.
Hold tight to your memories and from these pictures I am sure you will.
I’ll be thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.

  6. My sincere condolences to the families of Paula. Paula was a good hearted individual and would do anything for anybody. My senior year i remember Paula coming to my house to do my hair for my senior pictures. I was so appreciative, should have known she would go into business doing hair. She always had a smile when ever I saw her, she will be greatly missed. May God watch over her with his open arms and that she rest in peace. God bless!

  7. We all are going to miss you Paula, just wish we could have been in your lives more.
You are now in Heaven with Dirk and your mom and dad. You and Don are in our hearts and prayers forever.
Love you, and will never forget you ❤

  8. I am so very sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. She always had such a good heart. I remember her, Jeanie Thompson, Robert Miller and I being the entire 5th grade class at Fancy Prairie. Growing up in Fancy Prairie was really a wonderful thing for all of us! So many changes and time has passed and yet each time I saw her it was as if nothing had changed.

Please take care of all of yourselves and please accept my sincerest condolences.

  9. To Paula’s family, I raise all of you up in prayer. The last time we were in contact, was probably at her high school graduation. Even though we have not been in contact throughout the years, Paula’s quiet demeanor still is a part of me and who I am – for no other reason than the time we spent in school together. Her passing is, I’m sure, a tremendous burden to all of you in her family and circle of friends.

    GW
