Condolences

  1. Susie, Judy, Melissa and family…”Yah-k she’s mahsh.” Paula was a free spirit, but had Polish toughness.. None of us knew Grandpa, but we knew Grandma Vincenta in a small way (Cuzz Phil made sure of that), and we knew Uncle Stanley (Footsie) and Aunt Mary (Foots), Uncle Ben and Aunt Nina, my dad and mom, Alex and Anne, Aunt Francis and Uncle Harry, Uncle Tony and Aunt Hazel, Uncle Joe (Hollywood) and Aunt Mary, Uncle John (Mr. Basketball) and Aunt Aleta, Uncle Bill (Whiskey Bill) and Aunt Amelia, and Uncle Paul and Aunt Mary E. All had obvious strengths and goodness, but none were devoid of faults. But the Wasilewskis were/are a hearty bunch without doubt. Numbers in our generation have declined from 33 to 14, and basically the hard times our parents survived have passed. Your hearts must be heavy with the loss of Paula; please know that she and each of you and your close families will be in my thoughts and prayers. I remember thinking your dad must be rich because he went to Florida, which is where Barb and I are now. Please extend our love and condolences. Love, Andy and Elaine Wasilewski.

  2. My heartfelt condolences go out to Paua’s family and friends. She was a wonderful person and always wore a smile. I have found memories of her when my son attended Fancy Prairie and when the “Fancy Prairie Gals” (which included my mother) became such a close group of friends. She will be deeply missed by all.

  7. Dear Folkers Family,
Paula was an amazing lady, but you already know that!
She always had a chuckle and a smile on her face.
No matter what sport she could be found in the bleachers for as long as I can remember, a true Athens Warrior Fan. Paula, you will be missed by everyone that knew you!
    Chris & Norman

  8. Melissa, and family, I am sorry for your loss and wish you well during this difficult time. I was just a scared little girl most of the time I was with your mother. I was afraid of everyone, and your mom was tough. Over time on bus rides with her and I alone, I learned about her soft side. Now as a mother around my childs playmates, I find myself thinking of her often from a new perspective. I find myself rough around the edges with these noisy kids! Lord, what patience your mom had… and dedication. Many blessings to you all.
