Paul Edgar Harris, age 89, of Williamsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, in Lincoln, Illinois.

Paul was born October 24, 1932, in Springfield, Illinois, to William E. Harris and Alice Pearl Moffitt Harris.  Paul married Patty Spence on April 9, 1955 and she survives.  They were blessed with over 66 years together.

Mourning his passing are his daughter Libby (Keith) Miller, grandson, Paul J. (Stacy) Harris; step-granddaughter, Jennifer (Lucas) Shelton; great-granddaughters, Sydney Sutherland and Madison Harris; great-grandsons Christian Harris, Noah Harris, and Asher Shelton; many nieces and nephews.

Paul was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.  He was stationed in Korea for 16 months.  He worked for Patterson Bros Oil and Gas for 45 years.  Upon retiring,  he worked as a greeter at Walmart and enjoyed seeing a lot of people he had not seen in years.

Paul was a devoted family man.   He loved and supported his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in any adventure they undertook.  He was their biggest fan.   You could always count on him to give a hug, share some wisdom, or make you laugh.  He often told them “first things first.”  Paul was also a believer in Jesus Christ and had a strong faith in God.

Paul had many interests but two stood out.  He loved gardening.  He also developed a love of oil painting and spent many hours creating beautiful paintings.
