Norman Craigmiles

Norman E. Craigmiles, age 73, of Petersburg, IL, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born on January 27, 1946 in Calhoun County, IL the son of Everett Craigmiles and Nancy Bauser – Craigmiles.

Norman is survived by two sons, Dan (Tina) Rusk and Bobby (April) Craigmiles; three brothers, Rick, Durlin and Everett Craigmiles; three sisters, Verlie, Grace and Diane; four grandchildren, Amber, Savannah, Ryan and Mason; four great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Finn, Blakely and Brielle as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by both parents; one son, Dennis Craigmiles; one brother, Virgil Craigmiles.

Norman worked as a carpenter and painter throughout his life.

He served in the United States Army from 1965-1968.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Graveside services for Norman will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg at noon.

Memorials can be given to “Petersburg VFW Post #6871.”
