Mary P. Noonan, 86, of Athens, died November 13, 2011. She was born on February 3, 1925 in Morrisonville the daughter of John and Mary Durbin Plopper. She married Bernard Noonan on April 29, 1967. He died on January 7, 2002. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Family Church, and a member of the Alter and Rosary Society of Athens. She is survived by her sisters; Teresa “Patty” Hill, Regina M. Port all of Athens, and Martha Phillips of Morrisonville; brother, John (Carole) Plopper of Morrisonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, several nieces, nephews and one great-great niece. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Holy Family Church in Athens with funeral mass following. Burial will be at Joel Hall Cemetery. Father James Palakudy officiating. Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Church of Athens or Memorial Hospice.
