James Fredrick Nelson, age 85, of Petersburg, died Wednesday July 23, 2008 at his residence. He was under the care of his daughter Janet Nelson for the last 5 ¬Ω years in their home.
Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Illinois, with visitation being held from 10:00 until time of service there at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2008.
Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg, Illinois.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials can be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Jim was born on December 19, 1922 in Dixon, Illinois, the son of George H. and Mabel Richter Nelson. He married Mary E. Tribble on December 11, 1946 in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Jim was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Illinois. He farmed most of his life in central Illinois until he retired in 1975.
