Dorothy M. Mingle, 98, died on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield, IL.

Survived by Grandchildren- Judith K. Fisher – David H. Welch Step-son – Curt (Evelyn) of Ephraim, WI

She was born November 29, 1911 in Farmingdale. She married Hollis G. Mingle in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Clifford; a stepson, Joe; two brothers Raymond Buhr and Russell Buhr and two sisters, Eleanor Dillenburg and Esther Beal.

Mrs. Mingle retired from Frings Law Office in Pekin after 18 ½ years. She owned a café and doughnut shop in Taylorville. She was a member of the Athens Christian Church.

Dorothy was a domestic lady, she loved to bake and cook, especially her favorite, fried chicken. She loved to be around her friends to chit chat and visit. She loved her cat, “Baby Kitty”. She will be truly missed by the family and her loving friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday, March 5, 2010 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens with services at 10 AM on Saturday.

Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating. Burial at be at Joel Hall Cemetery.
