Leo Francis Miller, age 83, of Springfield, formerly of Greenview, died on May 7, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Surviving by: Wife – Betty Son – Harold (wife Tillie) Hughes of Beaver Creek, Ohio

Mr. Miller was born on January 23, 1925 in Springfield, IL the son of Alfred and Marzella Miller. He is preceded in death by one son, Rick.

Mr. Miller worked for Fiat Allis in the Heat Treatment Dept. for 38 years and worked as a security guard at different locations.

He was a member of the Sweetwater Christian Church and Westside Christian Church in Springfield where he was a member of the Men’s Choir. Mr. Miller was a proud member of the Greenview Amvets.

Mr. Miller served for the U.S. Army during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge, serving under General Patton.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home with the funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Rev. Roger James officiating.

Burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
