Helen Miller, age 86, of Sherman, formerly of Fancy Prairie, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Ron (wife Tammy) Miller of Bethlehem, PA One Daughter – Carol (husband Mark) Harting of Springfield, IL. Sisters – Doris (Urban) Wolf of Evansville, IN Marge (Richard) Schrieber of Red Bud, IL 3 Grandchildren 4 Step-Grandchildren 1 Step-Great Grandchild Several Nieces & Nephews

She is preceded in death by her husband John on May 19, 2000 and by a brother “Cap” Boultinghouse. Mrs. Miller was born on March 1, 1920 in Crossville, IL, the daughter of Loren and Cicely Davenport Boultinghouse.

She married John Miller on December 29, 1951 in St. Louis, MO.

She graduated from Crossville High School and from Lockyears Business College in Evansville, IN. She was Secretary for the State of Illinois Department of Education. She also served as an assistant Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts and as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She was a past member of the Indian Point Presbyterian Church near Athens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
