Rose Woodrum, age 81, of Petersburg, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Kilbourne, Illinois.
She is survived by four children, Bev (Bob) Severns, Chuck Woodrum, Becky (Ronnie) Snyder, and Jim (Sheila) Woodrum; eight grandchildren; nine great-granchildren; as well as siblings, several friends, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodrum in 1992 and a granddaughter, Shann Severns in 2015.
Rose was born June 21, 1935 near Cantrall, the daughter of George and Marie Nance.
She married Charles Woodrum on June 21, 1951 in Springfield.
Rose worked at the Petersburg VFW for eleven years, road semi-trailer trucks with her husband for ten years, as well as farming with Charles.
Rose was a member of the Greenview AMVETS.
She enjoyed fishing and was a good dart player.
Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home, where friends may call from 9:00 AM until time of funeral services at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
