  2. I have to share my very favorite Greg McLean story in remembrance…One early evening as the “guys” were ending their workday and headed for John’s house to drink a few, we had to make a stop at the Apollomart…for beer, for cigs, etc. Greg was a few people ahead of me in line…counting his earnings from the day in his hand..and I’m sure managing a 30 pack in the other…he looked back at me an…d said, “Krissy, can I borrow a dollar?” Without hesitation I said yes, of course he could. “He replied, “Good, because I want to buy you one of those flowers (nodding at a fresh rose at the counter) and I’m just about 75 cents short”. And, for those that knew Greg’s heart, and how kind he really was, you understand just how precious that story is to me now. Go rest high on that mountain with your brothers, Greg. Your work here is done…and I will always remember you with a smile. For no matter what a rowdy guy you were, you had a simple and large, large heart….that’s what I’ll remember most. Simply kind, always a smile and a smooch and hug…I am honored to call you friend.
