So very sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. She was a neighbor at the villas and I enjoyed talking and laughing with her. She was always on the go. She loved my dog, Cooper, and always offered to pet sit him if I ever needed her help. She was always there to lend a helping hand. This time of year I remember she always collected blankets for the needy. We have lost a great friend and neighbor and she will be greatly missed. I know she is with the Lord now and has no more pain. God has an extra special Angel at his right hand now. Love and missed by many Marie. 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻

Loved working with Marie in the Special Sprouts program at Cantrell UMC. I learned so much from her. She had a way of encouraging others that challenged and drew our their strengths. One day, during a ferocious rainstorm, she appeared at my door. She had seen a cyclist loaded down with gear, struggling on the highway. “You need to go help him,” she insisted, “because you”ll know what he needs.” I went. He ended up sleeping in our church that night, warm and dry, grateful for our intercession. Marie was a helper who helped other helpers gain confidence. ❤️

Marie was a delight to work with at Springfield Clinic! We had some good laughs together between patients. May you find comfort in our Lord, Jesus Christ as you wait to join her.
