Margaret Young

Margaret Young, age 83, of Petersburg, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.

She was born on October 26, 1938 the daughter of William and Mildred Slaughter.

Margaret married Charles Young on July 3, 1982.  He preceded her in death.

Mourning her passing are a daughter, Lynn (wife Jo) Wisdom; grandchildren, William Proctor, Charles Craig, Cory Craig, Ashley Craig, and Desarae Selby ; six great-grandchildren, Charles Craig Jr., Dontrell Hill, Jada Craig, Caleb Craig, Cory Craig Jr., and Kiara Craig; sister, Yvonne Campbell; and many other friends, adoptive children, and family.

Margaret loved to play Bingo.  She spent many hours in the Bingo Hall.

Her passion throughout her life was cooking for family and friends.

She loved all and all loved her.  To many people that knew her, she was known as GG and grandma.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
