Madeline "Maddie" Snyder

Madeline “Maddie” Snyder, age 19, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

She was born October, 11, 2005 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Michael Snyder and Stephanie Wiant.

Mourning her passing are her mother, Stephanie Mandi Wiant; father, Michael Conway (wife Breann) Snyder; one sister, Isabella Imogene Snyder; paternal grandmother, Brenda Rebbe; maternal grandparents, Patricia and Jose Rocha and William and Cheri Wiant; step-sisters, Mya, Kaylynn, Harmony, and Jhene.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Phil and Imogene Rebbe, Ed and Judith Leka, and Henry and Leona Wiant; uncle, William Wiant; and grandfather, Michael Snyder.

Madeline attended Lanphier High School. She later worked for the Riverbank Lodge in Petersburg as a housekeeper and Panda Express as a cook.

She loved going to the park, hanging with her friends, riding on her dad’s and grandma’s Harleys.

Visitation for Madeline will be held on Thursday March 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg, Illinois immediately after the services.
