Lowell Becker, age 89, of Greenview, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Lowell is survived by one son Mark (Kathy) Becker, two daughters, Tamara (Bill) Russell and Julianne (Gary) Manuel; six grandchildren, Scott Becker, Amy (Aaron) Janssen, Clay Becker, Bryan (Amanda) Russell, Kevin Russell, Laura (Andrew) Campbell; four step grandchildren, Chris (Jeff) Lopian, Aaron (Chantel) Thompson, Jamie Manuel, Justin (Katie) Manuel; nine great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

He was born on February 20, 1927 in Natrona, IL the son of Russell and Harmke (Lessen) Becker.

Lowell married Mary Margaret Johnson on August 22, 1948 she preceded him in death in 2013.

Lowell spent most of his life farming in Mason and Menard County.

He was also a member of the Greenview Christian Church.

Visitation for Lowell will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 3-5 PM                                     at Mott & Henning Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1 PM at the Greenview Christian Church.

Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.

Pastor Steve Collins will be officiating.

Memorials can be made to the Greenview Christian Church.

  2. Lowell will be missed by all of us at Memorial’s dialysis unit. As he was proud of saying, he was our favorite patient.
