Lorraine Furman passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born on October 18, 1938, the daughter of Beulah Brashear Stauffer. She married Robert W Furman on July 27, 1956, in Springfield, IL.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her mother Beulah Brashear Stauffer; a brother, Larry Brashear; sisters, Carol Daniels and Hope Rieck; and grandson, Justin Furman.
Lorraine was a wife, a mother, and grandmother with a loving heart who dedicated her life to her family and always taking care of others. She loved spending time with her family and lifelong friends. Her sweet and loving personality was as beautiful as the flowers she loved to tend to each year. To know her was to love her and she will forever remain in our hearts.

Furman of Florida; brother Gary (Deanna) Brashear of Florida; sister, Debra (Ron) Rawlings of Georgia; grandchildren, Josh (Amaya) Christine of Sherman and Kari Christine of Riverton; and great-grandchildren, Karli Christine, Hailey and Katelyn Furman, Emma, Brody, and Griffen Christine.
Lorraine owned and operated Furman’s Paving with her husband for many years before retiring to Florida. After retirement for many years in Florida, Robert and Lorraine returned to Illinois.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and private graveside services will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville, IL.

Pam & Family,
SO very sorry to read of Lorraine & Justin’s passing. We were shocked to hear about Justin. Shelly babysat him for a short time when Pam worked for the state. He was same age as our youngest & I always remember how he walked & ran everywhere at that age on his tip toes. Lorraine was a wonderful Aunt & although sad for all of us left here, we are happy in knowing she has been reunited with our beloved Hope & their mother. Our deepest sympathies for your family.
Sincerely, Shelly & Greg Rieck
