Lois Marie Shue, age 88, of Springfield, died on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on August 8, 1930 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Laura (Williams) Petschauer.
Lois married Elmer E. Tarr on June 15, 1952, he preceded her in death on December 13, 1964. She later married Henry Shue, Jr. in July of 1966, he preceded her in death on May 2, 2002.
Lois is survived by one daughter, Linda (Ron) Black; one grandson, Jacob Black; three sisters and a brother, Lucy (Wes) Pease, Betty Petschauer, Joseph Petschauer, and Patricia (Mike) Maybury; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Petschauer; and a sister, Suanne Keddy.
For most of her life, Lois was a housewife. Lois enjoyed being with her family, going shopping and taking pictures.
The Shue family would like to give a special thanks the Memorial Hospices nurses.
Visitation for Lois will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9-11 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Immediately following visitation, there will be a service held for Lois at 11 AM at Mott and Henning Funeral Home.
There will be a celebration of life dinner at the residence of Ron and Linda Black in Williamsville after the service on Thursday.
Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
