Thanks to Mr. Pope/Grandpa Pope/Pop Pope for all of the wonderful memories. Everyone enjoyed the time spent with him as he shared inspiring stories of his WW II adventures. Mr. Pope was always so kind and friendly to all he met. He’s left behind an amazing family that he was so proud of and many friends that he embraced as family. We’ll keep these memories close as we celebrate his life.

We second everything Carol, Keith and Tony said. Mr. Pope was always fun to be around. The Kienzler Clan is proud to be associate members of the Pope family.

Never got the chance to him, but I know his grand-daughter Janet will miss him. She said he helped raise her and her siblings when their dad died. At least she got to know him longer and have him in her life. I’m her father Tony’s half-sister. His body is gone, but thoughts and feelings of him are always going to be there. Be strong, and know he lived a long life that most people are denied.
