I just found out about the loss of Les and am sorry for missing his visitation and funeral and for your loss. Les was a great person and always welcoming and happy to see people. He was considered a good friend and made me feel the same whenever we saw each other no matter where we crossed paths. It was a pleasure having him as a dear friend and in my life.

My thoughts are with Les’s family during this difficult time. When I was a young man I remember going to our family reunion at Les and Corrine’s farm in Athens. My mom and dad Jack & Clara Fleischacker always spoke very highly of the Carter Family and I will always have fond memories of both Les and Corrine. Again my sincere condolences and may Les rest in eternal peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Les’s passing. He reminded me of my grandfather, whom I loved dearly. He always had time to listen, to talk, to just be with and he always accepted my hugs. I will miss him greatly as I’m sure you will also.

Vicki and I are sorry to hear of Lester passing. Our thoughts and prayers
are with you, Nancy and Tim and all of your extended family at this time.
Nash still talks about the visit he had with Lester and his tractor rides and farm machinery.

Dear Nancy,
I am so sorry to read of your dad’s passing. Your parents were the sweetest people and I always enjoyed catching up when we would see one another.
I know it gives you comfort knowing that your parents are together once again. I envision your parents and mine with others who were a part of the Athens pinochle group gathered around a table playing pinochle.
Blessings to you and your family❤️
