I am very sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. Ken was a fellow graduate student at Illinois
state U. We did many canoe trips together on the Mackinaw River with his brother Don. I remember we always had to stop at every plowed farm field and look for arrowheads. Whenever I asked him how far it was to the next stop, he would answer “…3 or 4 beers.” There are many good memories from those trips; one or two I thought we might never return from. The most memorable was a trip to the far north of Ontario down the Pipestone River.

I am sorry for the loss of Ken for the Litchfield family. Ken’s first wife Jan was my sister. She passed in 2001. I enjoyed hearing the comment from Jon D. about driving distances measured by the number of beers. Ken would often take drives in the country and have a few along the way. Again I am sorry to hear of his passing. Paul Adami
