Kathryn V. Gustafson, age 93, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Regency Nursing Home in Springfield.
She is survived by her husband John; two daughters Patricia Richter of Athens, Donna (Don) Todd of Athens; four grandchildren Kathy and Mark (Ann) Richter, and Erin (Jim) Nelson and Ryan (Brianna) Todd; three cherished great-granddaughters Hanna Richter and Eden and Laurel Nelson. She is also survived by her brother Roy (Juanita) McMillan and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Ruth Hergenrother and Norma Sullivan. Kathryn was born July 28, 1919 in New Berlin, the daughter of Roy and Ethel Davison McMillan.
She graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1937 and later married John Gustafson on April 14, 1945 in Sycamore, Illinois.
She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. Kathryn was a member of the Greenview United Church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Mott and Henning Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
Rev. Stephanie McCullough will be officiating.
Burial will be held at Indian Point Cemetery near Athens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Greenview United Church.

Pat and Donna, So sorry for your loss. Your parents were a joyful part of my growing up years. I saw them every Sunday in church. I spent time with all of you at the farm. What good times we had. Prayers for you and your families. God Bless.
