Thinking of and praying for all the family and friends whose lives Kathy deeply touched, often on a daily basis. As one of her cousins by marriage, though I never lived anywhere close to Kathy, she was a ray of sunshine in our lives. If anything hard or crazy was going on in our lives, several states away, we’d get an encouraging call or an encouraging card. When we chatted on the phone with her, we could hear the spark in her voice. She had a sweet sense of humor and practicalness around life which often brought a sense of joy and calm. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Steve and Chris and all the family.
In your great sorrow, I add prayers for God to overflow you with His comfort along with lasting sweet memories. As you know so well, Kathy was such an inspiring, encouraging, and joyful conduit of God’s love to all of us family, as well as to her neighbors, friends, students, and co-teachers. And what a “never give up” spirit!
Though we will miss her deeply, her love will live on in our hearts, warming us and inspiring us to live out God’s love and service to others as she did. We entrust Kathy into Jesus’ loving arms in her eternal home with Him.
