Joan L. (McFadden) MIller

Joan McFadden Miller, age 77, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

She was born on October 29, 1946, in Lincoln, Illinois, to John and Lorinda (Miller) McFadden

Mourning her passing are her children, Lorie (Todd) Masterhan, Larry (Shelly) Clark; grandchildren, Avery Clark, Jorie Clark, Gabriella (Zach) McCloughan, and Elisya Clark; sister, Marilyn Grissom; two nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Joan graduated from Williamsville High School in 1964.

She was a daycare provider for 35 years.

She loved animals, especially horses as a child and many dogs.

Joan loved to cook, planning family get-togethers, floral arranging for family floral pieces, and cherished time with her family.  She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s activities and events.  Joan was a great storyteller of family memories.

A visitation for Joan will be held from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.  Rev. James Stuenkel will be officiating.

Burial will be held at immediately after the services at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Protective League in Springfield.
