Irma Peterman

Irma Peterman, age 82, of Williamsville, passed away on February 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 14, 1935 the daughter of Cletus and Lena (Yates) Grafton.

Irma married Jimmie Peterman on October 3, 1952 and spent 65 wonderful years together. Jimmie preceded her in death on May 18, 2017.

She is survived by five children, Ron (Terri) Peterman of Rochester, IL, Nancy Emmons of Williamsville, IL, Terry (Lori) Peterman of Springfield, Bill (Vickie) Peterman of Sherman, IL and Mike (Lisa) Peterman of Decatur, IL; sister, Margie Hillyer of Springfield, IL; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Irma was a stay at home mother for 16 years. She later started her own beauty shop in 1969, “Irma’s Beauty Shop.”

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman. She also was a member of Friends In Faith Organization. Irma also loved traveling with Jimmie, flower arranging, scrapbooking and traveling to Vegas yearly with friends.

Visitation for Irma will be held on February 20, 2018 from 9-10 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman, IL. Funeral service will immediately follow at 10 AM.

Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Pastor Michael Schuermann will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.
