Glenn E. Huffman, age 70, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. John’s Hospice. .
Glenn is survived by his wife Lois Anne; a son, Jason Huffman of Athens; two daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Schafer of Round Rock, TX, and Jacquie (Cory) Womble of Athens; one sister, Ruth Ann (Jim) Theis of Rochester; Four Grandchildren; Riley Anne Womble, Madelyn Renee Womble, Logan Theodore Schafer & ZoeJane Marie Schafer, Uncle & Aunts; Bill Engel of Athens and Peggy and Frank Cooke.
Glenn was born June 21, 1942 in Springfield, the son of Glenn and Helena Engel Huffman.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Glenn married Lois Drury on October 5, 1974. Glenn worked for the Athens Water Department; he was on Athens City Council as Alderman for many years. He graduated from Athens High School. Glenn was a chairman for the Menard County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, St. Louis Cardinals, Illini Basketball and his Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 5:30PM until 7:30 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens. Funeral services will also be held there on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
Rev. Koschmann will be officiating.
Burial will be held at Joel Hall cemetery in Athens.
Memorials can be made to American Lung Association.

Lois Anne and family, Kath and I are so sorry to hear of Glenn’s passing, So many fun times and great laughs, He will be missed. Our thoughts are with you Dear one. Goofy.
