I was so very sorry to see where “Preacher Bob” (as we called him) had died. He was such an important person in my dads life in Greenview. He would always take time to visit my dad and was very important in his life. Dad was a fisherman and I think Bob was too. He carved a duck for my dad and he always cherished it. I now have it and will also cherish it. When dad was so sick; Bob came and sat with me and was such a terrific help to me. He went on a family vacation and just got there when my dad died. He turned right around and came back to be with our family and do the services for him. My family loved him very much. He was a very special person and I know your family will miss him greatly. He was a terrific human being. Thinking of you and your family.

Pastor Bob was a wonderful, compassionate person. He was very helpful to us during Dad’s many illnesses. But most of all, I don’t know if you know this, but he was the reason I came back to the church after being away for so many years. During my absent years, he always treated me like one of his flock even though I was not active in the congregation. I always appreciated that. He will be fondly and lovingly remembered. I’m sure he and my Dad will be having some laughs together again.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob and I were childhood neighbors. We spent a lot of time playing together and spending time at the park across the street. Although we lost contact after High school,I will always remember him as one of the nicest persons I have ever known. He was the kind of person that you were glad to have known, and have been able to call him a friend.
Sincerely, Gary Osborne
