Gerald Lee Judd, age 85, of Athens, passed away on November 16, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Iris; a son Jerry (Sharon) Judd of Athens, a daughter Janet (Ed) Robles of Springfield; one brother, George Kenneth Judd; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Theado) Bonds, Kara (Zach) Alderman, Katie (Jason) Bruning, Samantha (Craig) Held, Megan (fiancé Kyle Lukaszewski) Robles and Mikie Robles; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gerald was born August 8, 1931 in Springfield, IL the son of George and Helen Robb Judd.

He is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Donald Judd and sister, Eleanor Richter.

Gerald worked as a tool and die maker for Sangamo Electric for 27 years. He then later retired from Eaton Corporation. After retirement, he worked for Prairie State Plumbing and Heating for 10 years.

Gerald served in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He recently went on the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.

Visitation for Gerald will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home as well.

Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery.

Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.

Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
