Georgiann Carol Albright, 89, passed away on September 10, 2016, at Heritage Health in Springfield. Georgiann was born September 2, 1927, in Springfield, to Edgar and Nellie (Nottingham) Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
Georgiann is survived by her children, Penny Nickel of Springfield, Daniel of Aurora, CO, and Brenda of Greenfield, IN; Grandchildren Adrienne (Bob) Grover and Lee (Leslie) Nickel of Springfield, Stefanie (Zee) Hitzelberger and Dan Albright of Kansas City, KS; great-grandchildren Malorie, Nathan, and Caleb Grover, Aiden Nickel, Ethan, Anneliese, Elias, and Isaac Hitzelberger and Gracelyn Albright; sisters Joyce Friel of Normal, IL, Hazel Zick of Springfield and Bonnie Majeras of Arizona; brother, Carl Marion of Athens, several nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of Eastview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Tuesday, September 13, followed by funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Eastview Baptist Church, 2277 Black Avenue, Springfield. Burial will be at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens. Following graveside services, a gathering for family and friends will be held at Eastview Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m.

Penny, Danny and Brenda,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Losing a parent is never easy. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
