Ronald E. Friedrich, age 78, of Williamsville, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Prairie View Care Center in Lewistown, IL.
He is survived by his wife Deloris, Bill (Nyleen) Friedrich, Phil (Sue) Friedrich, Tammy (Lee) Kirby, Lisa Freitag; grandchildren Josh (Wendy) Friedrich, Jeremy (Kate) Friedrich, Heather (Jeff) Evans, Travis Friedrich, Keri Kirby, Colter Freitag, Cody Kirby; two great-grandchildren; one brother Jerry Friedrich; two sisters Shirley Kieffer and Shelba Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Stella Haywood Friedrich, one brother Donald Friedrich, one son Chuck Friedrich, and one infant daughter Diana Friedrich.
He was born on June 22, 1935 in Morrisonville, IL.
Ronald married Deloris Lash May 5, 1956 in Marks, MS.
He was a truck driver for FS/Growmark, Inc. for 40 years. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local #916 in Springfield.
Ronald and Deloris enjoyed country line dancing and traveling together for many years. He was a devoted family man and a wonderful father and grandfather.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 10 AM until 12 Noon with funeral services immediately following at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.

Delores, may we offer our sincere condolences on the loss of your husband. Having recently gone through this ourselves we know how much family and friends mean at this time. I had the pleasure of getting to know Ron and his Wife when we were all country line dancing, what a great couple & much fun to be around. So sad to hear of his passing. Sending heartfelt condolences to his Family.
