Everett A. Simpson

Everett A. Simpson of Sherman, Illinois, went to be with The Lord on June 1, 2021, at the age of 85.  He is the son of Amos Everett Simpson and Henrietta (Dupont) Simpson.  He was born October 10, 1935 in Riverton, Illinois.

Everett married Doris Buckner on January 19, 1958.  She preceded him in death in 2014.  One daughter was born into the marriage, Debra D. Allen.

Mourning his passing are his daughter, Debra; grandchildren, Everett Daniel Simpson, Shawn Michael Allen, William Raymond Allen; great-grandchildren, Everett Daniel Simpson, Jr., sister, Judith Hornickel; several nieces and nephews.

Everett is also preceded in death by his parents, Amos Everett Simpson and Henrietta (Dupont) Simpson; mother-in-law, Donna Buckner.

He graduated from Riverton High School.

Everett was well-known as a bodyman at several auto repair businesses.

He loved to fish, hunt, trap, and work on bonsai trees and the farm.  Everett was a life-member of the Fur Takers of America.

Visitation for Everett will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 10:00 until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.

Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville, IL.
