Evelyn Freeman age 90, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.
Evelyn is survived by two sons, Mike (Jan) Freeman and Pat (Suz) Freeman; grandchildren, Katie (Lance) Kovacs, Josh Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Megan Freeman, and Andrew Denton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred and a daughter Gayle Denton; son-in-law, Cecil Denton; brothers Earl, Jim, Bob, Wilbur, Zeke and Leonard Dennison; and her sisters, Lydia Dambacher, Burl Dennis, Janet Antonocci and Martha Wheatley.
Evelyn was born February 21, 1925 in Williamsville the daughter of Virgil and Glenna Mae Parsons Dennison.
She married Fred Freeman in 1946 in Williamsville.
Evelyn graduated from Williamsville High School and she was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked for the United States Postal Service for several years.
She was a member of the Cantrall United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10:00 until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.
Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.
Rev. John Vidakovich from Petersburg United Methodist Church will be officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Cantrall United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
