Oneta Jane Emmons age 78, ofMiddletown passed away on March 10, 2009 at St. John’s Hospice.

Survived by: Daughter : Sharon (Dennis) Hiltebrand of Springfield

Mrs. Emmons was born November 22, 1930 in New Holland, IL the daughter of Floyd E. and Amy Dye Jones.

She married Leo H. Emmons on January 10, 1948 in Middletown. He preceded her in death in May of 1993. She is also preceded in death by her brother Floyd D. Jones and her sister Lois Emmons.

Mrs. Emmons enjoyed gardening, yard work, Skip-Bo and playing in the Monday night Bunco Club in Middletown. She was a member of Middletown Presbyterian Church, and volunteer at the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln. She worked for the IL State Police in the Firearms Division for over 30 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Mott & Henning Funeral Home and services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Middletown Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Allen Dean will be officiating. Burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville. Memorials to American Cancer Society, St. John’s Hospice or Middletown Presbyterian Church.
