Edward Joseph Bileck age 76, of Williamsville, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on June 1, 1947 to Edward John and Anna Donawell Bileck.
Edward married Linda (Windy) Dennison on September 15, 1991. They lovingly tolerated each other for over 33 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ethel Bileck.
Mourning his passing are his lovely bride, Linda (Windy); brothers, Paul (Bonnie) Bileck and John Bileck; a sister, Linda Bileck; daughters, Lisa McBrien, Teresa (John) Benson, Lucy (Tim) Shafer, and Melody Stewart; sons, Jason Bileck, Nathan (Mary) Bileck, and Michael Stewart; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, best friend of over 30 years, Carl Conner; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He served as a contractor of his own construction company and then later retired from the State of Illinois after as a Security Officer after over 25 years.
Edward’s passions included music, some of his favorites were P. Floyd, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, ZZ Top, the Dave Matthews Band, and he shared a soul with Bob Marley. He also enjoyed watching sitcom reruns such as Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, and the Big Bang Theory. He loved sports and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Black Hawks, as well as the Fighting Illini Football and basketball teams.
Visitation for Edward will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, or any charitable organization the benefits Vietnam Veterans.
