Duane Tisdale, age 79, of Greenview, passed away on May 8, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.
Duane was born on July 26, 1938 in Topeka, Illinois the son of Theodore and Erma (Boyer) Tisdale.
He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Lynn Tisdale.
Duane is survived by his wife, Martha (Kincaid); one son, Martin (Kathy) Tisdale; two daughters, Marla Johnson, Michelle (George) Castles; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Ted (Arlyn) Tisdale, one sister, Rosalyn (Dan) VanEman as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services for 38 years.
Duane enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, riding his motorcycle, and watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play basketball.
He was a member and a youth leader of the Greenview Christian Church, a 50-year member of the Greenview Masonic Lodge #653, former member of the Greenview Volunteer Fire Department and he was a former member of the Petersburg Clown Band.
Visitation for Duane will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4:30 – 7:30 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10 AM at the Greenview Christian Church.
Steve Miller will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Greenview Christian Church.
Per request of Duane, please wear Cardinal (Cubs are welcome) or biker attire. Most of all, laughter is encouraged.

My condolences to the Tisdales at this time of grief. Duane was a good person to have known for low these 42 years and was a sight to see at the Greenview Labor Day events and around the village. I will miss him so.

Martha and Family: I am so sorry to hear about Duane’s passing. Growing up I always remember the family get together’s and how much fun and funny he always was. Kevin always enjoyed seeing you and Duane & talking to you both@ Walmart and would always tell me when you were in and how he visited with you both. Our deepest sympathies go to you and your family, he will be missed.
