Dorothy L. Marion

Dorothy Marion, age 103, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home near Petersburg.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Danielle Hulfachor and Rebecca Hulfachor; and a great-grandson, Steven Hulfachor.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Oramel; her parents, Fred and Grace Miller; daughter, Donna Hulfachor; and three brothers.

Dorothy was born October 10, 1911 in Cantrall, Illinois.

She married Oramel Marion on Feburary 20, 1943.

Dorothy loved to sit outside and enjoy summer days with her neighbors. She cherished the time spent with her great-grandson, Steven. She enjoyed keeping track of the weather on her calendars for many decades.

She provided daycare for numerous children in Athens for many years. Dorothy worked at the Malt Shop in Athens for several years.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at Mott & Henning Funeral Home, in Athens, IL.

Rev. Richard Becker will be officiating.

Burial will be held Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
