She was born on July 14, 1926 in Iowa City, IA the daughter of Sam and Minnie Green Knoles.
Dorothy married William Eddings Jr. on February 22, 1975 in Lincoln, IL.
Survivors include step children, Leonard (Brenda) Eddings of Carthage, IL, Jim (Barb) Eddings, Judy Eddings Hollis, and Wayne (Karen) Eddings of Petersburg, IL and many step grandchildren/great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, five sisters, three stepsons and one step daughter.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 1-2 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL. Services will immediately follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Menard County Food Pantry.
