Doris Evelyn Simpson of Sherman, Illinois, went to be with The Lord on June 24, 2014, at the age of 75. She is the daughter of Clarence Albert Buckner and Donna Elsie Hartsfield Buckner. She was born December 19, 1938 in Greenwood Arkansas. Doris married Everett Amos Simpson January 19, 1958. One daughter was born into the marriage, Debra Diane Allen.
She is survived by her husband Everett (Bud) Simpson, her daughter, Debra; grandchildren, Everett Daniel Simpson, Shawn Michael Allen, William Raymond (Billy Ray) Allen; great-grandchildren Everett Daniel Simpson, Jr., the immediate family survivors are Lois Louise Bonat, Fort Smith, AR, Betty Lavern Bonnett, Pekin, IL, Dorotha Jean Routson, Arkoma, OK, Johnny Hershel Buckner, Lincoln, IL, Sylvia Lorita Vail, Williamsville, IL.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Clarence Raymond (Ray) Buckner.
Doris graduated from Tri-City High School in 1957 and she worked at Memorial Hospital for almost 20 years.
Funeral services will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, with a visitation from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the funeral home on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
Memorial donation can be made to your charity of choice.
Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville, IL.

This is to a very brave an good woman that had a good life thanks to her i got to see how ok life was an how lonely it has become since u left . Dont worry most the people are the same an the rest will never change as for your grandson,greatgrandson we will always be ok an for ur husband he is doing well i have to make sure u already knew that though.
