Harriet L. Donley, age 90, of Springfield, passed away on Friday September 23, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She is survived by her children Eunice Louise Burris of Springfield, Delmar Donley, Jr. (companion Judy Hawks) of Sherman, Linda L.(Mickie) Morman of Springfield, Juanita Marie Donley of Springfield, and William Elmer (Karolyn) Donley of Springfield; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sister Helen and two brothers Delbert & George Powell; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Delmar, two sons Leroy & Eugene Donley and daughter, Janet Darling.
Harriet was born November 10, 1920 in Athens, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Myrtle Roberts Powell.
Harriet married Delmar Donley in 1935 in Springfield and they were married until his death on April 7, 1973. She had worked at Memorial Medical Center.
She was a member of the Sherman United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon on Monday September 26, 2011. Blake Canterbury will officiate.
Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens
Memorials: to the American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.
